Lives Changed Forever

There was one girl’s spot available for WOL Camp on the last week. Monday afternoon, a mother called the office just hoping there may have been a cancellation. Camp Director, Ed Lightbourne, fresh from a missions trip to Jamaica, knew Tuesday night was the evangelistic message, so he gave permission for this teenage girl to join camp on Tuesday morning. Leah arrived at camp a little nervous, but soon fit right into the program. That night at the evening meeting there were two hands raised at the invitation and one of them was Leah’s. Praise the LORD!
Throughout the three weeks of camp there were rafts built, games played, teens who lost their voices screaming, gallons of water and Gatorade ‘tanked down’, but most importantly there were 18 teens, who like Leah invited Christ to be their Savior. Teens visited The Bermuda camp from Texas, London, NYC and Canada. Some of these international campers returned home new creations in Christ. Scores of Christian teens recommitted themselves to live ‘sold-out’ for the LORD at our weekly campfire.
Thank you for supporting Word of Life Bermuda with your prayers, time and service and for giving monthly to our missionary staff. The Word of Life Team is grateful for you and your interest in this ministry. Click on the Facebook link at the top of this page to see a host of camp pictures. Our next event will be our Leaders’ Conferences in Bermuda (August 28th for Administrators & All Club Leaders on Sept.4th) and the Leaders’ Conference in Nassau, Bahamas, September 25th.
