The Problem with Summer Camp

Every year at camp we see teenagers believe the gospel of Jesus Christ, make decisions to live godly lives, and make memories that will last a lifetime.  We also see teens who have committed to serve at camp in our training program (S.T.C.) mature in their faith.  Further, Christian adults use their vacation time to serve God in the various roles that a camping ministry demands with the unity that is found in the Holy Spirit.  So, what could be the problem with summer camp?  The problem is capacity.  Parents begin registering as early as January and each week of camp fills to capacity very quickly.  We are pleased that teens enjoy our camp so much and desire to come back summer after summer.  We are pleased that parents have a trust in us that makes them diligent to register their son or daughter.  But, we would also love new campers to be exposed to our summer camp, and more importantly, to the Gospel.  So praise God with us for the full camp this year and join with us in prayer for this coming camping season as well as the future of our camping ministry.
